Position Description:
The Manufacturing Optimization Manager is the key leader of the Manufacturing Engineering, Reliability and Facilities teams, and is a key liaison to the Operations team; is critical to achieving maximum financial benefit from the plant's capital expenditures, maintenance expenditures, production equipment and fixed assets, in accordance with the operation's goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates Engineering and Maintenance services and ensure operational reliability consistent with the Production Team's needs
Develops and presents through approval, appropriation requests for capital maintenance improvements or refurbishments to production equipment.
Department expense and capital budget planning and achievement
Oversees Preventative Maintenance compliance and effectiveness
Ensures 5S compliance, creates and manages equipment overhaul and upgrade schedules for sustained performance
Develops, monitors and ensures timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short- and long-term
Partners with Director of Operations and Plant Manager in making operational improvements to reduce costs and to increase productivity
Utilizes new technology and Lean Manufacturing principals and processes to maximize efficiency, while balancing spending
Plans, manages and executes capital asset programs in compliance with Annual Operating Plan and established policy
Promotes development of cost saving initiatives
Provides the day-to-day operational leadership in the coordination of projects utilizing maintenance and manufacturing engineering resources
Develops a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety
Salary and Hourly personnel development and accountability
Assigns accountability, builds teams, hires, develops, evaluates, trains, coaches and disciplines with corrective action as needed
Ensures the adherence to Safety policies, practices, and procedures
Ensures production of a quality product in compliance with Wabash quality standards as defined by the Quality organization
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree.
College Degree Major Desired: BS Engineering/Engineering Technology/Reliability, Masters/MBA preferred
Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:
Knowledge of Capital Project Development, Cost Estimation and Management
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Office and Microsoft Project
Previous experience with Automated Control Systems PLCs & PCs
Previous experience in a 24 hr X 7 day/ week process environment
Strong Business Acumen
Highly Effective Communication skills; ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to interface and comply with regulatory agencies
6+ years in manufacturing/production environment experience
5+ years manufacturing plant engineering/management experience which includes financial management, project development and project management experience
Successful department budget management
Proven skills and track record in Preventive Maintenance, TPM, Reliability Based Asset Management
Lean manufacturing principals, 5 S deployment/sustainability, WCM Strategy experience
Certifications, Licenses
Lean and/or Six Sigma Greenbelt certification, Blackbelt preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) desired

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
